It is an overview of prominent denominations and cults in the United States. Their chief doctrines are studied in light of the Bible. The workbook begins with an overview of the New Testament church as presented in holy Scripture. Before looking at individual denominational doctrines, the book reviews church history, authority in religion, the sin of denominationalism and a quest for unity. The final chapter pleads for a return to the Bible and to the pure, New Testament church. A revised edition (2008) is available with several additional chapters. |
